Our solution completely solves the core industry pain points of difficult processing, messy sorting, low purity and poor benefits of mixed metal waste.
I. Core Industry Pain Points
Mixed metal waste includes industrial processing scraps, mixed metal materials from vehicle dismantling, waste hardware, crushed mixture of home appliances/cans, and mixed waste of steel, aluminum and copper. It has complex components (ferrous metals such as iron, steel, non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, stainless steel mixed with non-metallic impurities like plastic, rubber, paint, glass and wood chips). The industry generally faces problems such as difficulty in processing large materials, extremely low efficiency of manual sorting, incomplete metal separation, low purity of finished products, high transportation and storage costs, and excessive dust and paint pollution. As a result, the resource utilization rate is less than 80%, a large amount of high-value metals are lost, and economic benefits are greatly reduced.
II. Full-Process Integrated Solution
Centered on our heavy-duty double-shaft shredder and multi-stage high-efficiency crusher as the core processing equipment, combined with high-frequency magnetic separator and high-precision eddy current separator, supplemented by supporting facilities such as belt conveyors, dust and paint removal equipment, and classified aggregate silos, we build a fully automated "preprocessing-crushing-multi-stage intelligent sorting-purification-finished product collection" production line suitable for scrap yards, renewable resource recycling plants and metal processing enterprises. It can realize accurate separation of metals and non-metals, and graded purification of different types of metals for all kinds of mixed metal waste, and supports customized design of production line layout and equipment configuration according to customers' site scale, daily processing capacity and raw material types. The core processing process is as follows:
Feeding & Preprocessing: Bulk/baled mixed metal waste is transported to the heavy-duty double-shaft shredder via a belt conveyor. The equipment adopts a wear-resistant alloy cutter shaft and anti-jamming design, which quickly tears and extrudes large/loose materials to achieve initial volume reduction (a volume reduction rate of over 70%), and peels off part of the paint and rubber coating on the material surface at the same time, crushing it into 300-500mm lumps to pave the way for subsequent fine processing;
Fine Homogenization Crushing: The preprocessed lumps are fed into the multi-stage high-efficiency crusher, and after being processed by multiple crushing chambers, they are processed into uniform metal particles with adjustable specifications of 10-40mm, which completely breaks the adhesion structure between metals and non-metals, removes residual impurities inside the materials, and ensures the uniformity and accuracy of subsequent sorting;
Multi-stage Intelligent Sorting & Purification: The homogenized particles are sent to the sorting link through a closed conveying system to realize step-by-step accurate sorting—first, ferromagnetic metals such as iron and steel are separated by a high-frequency magnetic separator, then non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper and stainless steel are separated by a high-precision eddy current separator, which can realize graded purification of copper/aluminum/stainless steel, with an overall metal sorting accuracy of over 98%;
Environmental Protection Purification & Finished Product Collection: During the sorting process, supporting dust and paint removal equipment collects dust, paint skin, plastic crumbs and other impurities synchronously to further improve the purity of finished metal; the separated pure iron, pure steel, pure aluminum, pure copper and stainless steel particles are collected through classified aggregate silos respectively, which directly meet the raw material feeding standards of downstream steel mills, aluminum smelters and copper smelters without secondary processing.
lll. Economic & Environmental Benefits
Substantial Cost Reduction: Replaces manual sorting, reducing labor costs by more than 70%; after material volume reduction, storage and transportation costs are reduced by 40%; the equipment adopts energy-saving motors and wear-resistant components, saving 25% energy compared with traditional equipment, with low failure rate and less operation and maintenance costs;
Efficient Production Improvement: The processing efficiency is more than 10 times higher than that of traditional manual + simple equipment, realizing large-scale processing of mixed metal waste;
Significant Revenue Increase: High-purity finished metals (copper/aluminum/stainless steel) have a 10%-20% premium over mixed waste, which can be directly connected to downstream smelters to avoid price suppression by middlemen; the separated non-metallic impurities such as plastic and rubber can be recycled and sold for a second time, generating an additional 10% of revenue;
Green and Low-Carbon: The metal recovery rate and resource utilization rate are greatly improved, reducing the mining of primary minerals. A single production line reduces CO₂ emissions by more than 300 tons annually, in line with the global trend of carbon neutrality and resource circulation development, and can apply for relevant carbon emission reduction subsidies.
IV. Core Value of the Solution
Our solution completely solves the core industry pain points of difficult processing, messy sorting, low purity and poor benefits of mixed metal waste. Through mechanical crushing and intelligent graded sorting, it transforms low-value mixed metal waste into standardized, high-purity single-category recycled metal raw materials, realizing 100% resource utilization of mixed metal waste. We create a low-cost, high-efficiency, high-yield and environmentally compliant mixed metal recycling operation mode for customers, and open up the full industrial chain value channel from waste recycling to downstream smelting.
